Award – winning professor to speak at women’s conference
PoconoWomen will host award-winning professor Dr. Vasiliki Anastasakos, or known as “Dr Kiki” for short, at their PoconoWomen’s “Power of ‘10” Conference on April 17 from 9 am to 4 pm at Shawnee Inn. Dr Kiki will be the keynote speaker during the luncheon segment.
Dr. Kiki was named the Pennsylvania Professor of the Year who excels in teaching and who positively influence the lives and careers of students. Dr, Kiki was selected from a list of nominees from across the country because of her involvement with and impact upon undergraduate students. One of the most popular professors on campus, Dr. Kiki has managed to fill each of her classes devoted to subjects such as “Introduction to Political Science” to more advanced classes in American National Government, State and Local Government, International Relations, Women and Politics, and Politics of Modern Turkey. She has been a member of the Northampton Community College faculty since 2003.
The PoconoWomen’s “Power of ’10 Conference includes a networking coffee klatch, breakout sessions with speakers touching on subjects pertaining to women’s health, wealth and well being.
